How to calculate #macronutrients? 02🍫🍏
Your macronutrients will be based on your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) which is simply the amount of calories you burn per day! Equations can be found easily online to work this out!
From this if you are looking to #lose weight, a good place to start is minus 20% of your TDEE and if you are looking to #gain weight (build muscle) you will add 20% of your TDEE! A simple way to do this is to just +/- 500 calories without doing the maths!
With regards to working out the percentages of each macronutrient, this will vary on your #training #goal as seen in the picture above! The percentage ranges allow trial and error for what is best suitable for you!
#Work out TDEE
#Apply training goal – build muscle/lose fat
#Work out calories needed per macronutrient (this is just the percentage of your daily calories)
#Work out how many grams of each macronutrient you require (see last post for calories per gram of each macronutrient)
#Trial and error what suits you best
