Importance of a warm up 11 šŸƒšŸ¼
A warm up simply means preparing the body for physical activity. A warm up should be specific to the muscles and energy systems your training. The type of stretching used should also be specific to the sport/exercise being undertaken!

Benefits of a warm up:

#Gradually increases body temperature

#Gradually increases heart rate and breathing rate

#Increases temperature of working muscles

#Prepares the neuromuscular system making it more effective at recruiting motor units for a more efficient muscle contraction

#Increased blood flow to working muscles

#Can help prevent injury
