Common supplements – BCAA’s

BCAA’s 04
Branch chain amino acids (BCAA’s) are a group of 3 amino acids including leucine, isoleucine and valine!

#Leucine – central to cell metabolism of muscle tissue therefore contributing to both its generation and preservation! Leucine is an activator of the protein known as mTOR, which leads to protein synthesis! (Referred to as the most important BCAA)

#Isoleucine – plays a vital role in the energy supply of muscle tissue and appears to promote glucose consumption and uptake into a muscle cell!

#Valine – it assists the body’s energy providing processes and therefore plays an important role in building physical strength and muscle mass! (Referred to as the least important BCAA)

BCAA’s are a group of #essential amino acids, meaning they are not produced by the body and must come from our diet!

Foods rich in #BCAA’s include meat, eggs, fish, beans and lentils!
