#Beta-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid and is known as the building block for #Carnosine, which is a molecule that helps #buffer acid in the muscles, therefore increasing #performance in the 60-240 second range.
Carnosine is stored in cells and released in response to drops in muscle #pH
Large doses of Beta-Alanine may cause a tingling feeling called #paresthesia, however this has been shown to be a harmless side effect!
Beta-Alanine can be found in many #foods such as chicken, fish and beef and is also commonly found in #pre-workout supplements!
